Jones Driver Education, Inc. offers the following driving courses:
Recent Price Changes- Effective 5-13-2009

30-6 Instruction Certificate Program:

Thirty (30) hours of theoretical instruction in specific areas of traffic safety, including subject matter related to the rules and regulations of the road, safe driving practices, proper attitudes, pedestrian safety, and driver responsibility that meet the standards set by the DDS. Six (6) hours of behind the wheel experience in all aspects of safely operating a motor vehicle.

Certificate course fee - $375

30-6 Certificate Program Preferred:

Thirty (30) hours of theoretical instruction in specific areas of traffic safety, including subject matter related to the rules and regulations of the road, safe driving practices, proper attitudes, pedestrian safety, and driver responsibility that meet the standards set by the DDS. Six (6) hours of behind the wheel experience in all aspects of safely operating a motor vehicle. Three of the six hours will include participating in “The Experience after Dark”. Driving at night is one of many learning situations developed to help students adapt to different driving circumstances.

Certificate course fee - (Starting November - March) $445

(Daylight savings time March thru November $500 because of the lateness of the start times for the two night drives)
Students will be returned home after night drives living within a 5 mile radius of the school.

30 hours of Classroom Instruction Only (Satisfies Requirement for Joshua’s Law):

One method of satisfying Joshua’s Law is 30 hours of classroom instruction at a DDS approved school such as Jones Driver Education. Needed with this requirement is the completion of the Parent Teen Driving Guide with no additional driving required. This guide can be found on the DDS website at www.dds.ga.gov. After successful completion of the 30 hours of classroom work a certificate will be issued. Most insurance companies will not give a discount unless both classroom and driver training occurs at an approved DDS school. Parents should check with their carrier on this issue. Jones Driver Education is now offering the 30 hour classroom only course with no driver training involved.

Certificate course fee - $200.00

Practical Driving Instruction:

This is a six (6) hour driving course covering all aspects of safely operating a motor vehicle. All six hours will be spent behind the wheel being instructed, and there is no certificate awarded for this course. In a vehicle meeting the specification of the DDS, the behind the wheel experience will demonstrate and allow students to perform starting, stopping, turning, backing up, parallel parking, and steering.

    * Driving course fee – without pickup (all lessons start and end at the driving school) $300.00
    * Driving course fee with pickup – Students living with a 5 mile radius of school) $350.00

(Distances outside of the 5 mile radius additional fees apply)

Practical Driving Instruction Preferred:

This is a six (6) hour driving course covering all aspects of safely operating a motor vehicle. All six hours will be spent behind the wheel being instructed in a vehicle meeting the specifications of the Department of Driver Services. During the six hours students will become familiar with starting, stopping, steering, turning properly, backing and parallel parking. Three of the six hours will include participating in “The Experience after Dark”. Driving at night is one of many learning situations developed to help students adapt to different driving environments. All drives will begin and end at JONES DRIVER EDUCATION School. A total of 4 lessons each for 1 ½ hours each.

Driving course fee - $360.00 (November thru March)
                               $415.00 (Daylight Saving Time Fee March thru November)

CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS WITH ADDITIONAL BEHIND THE WHEEL TRAINING
(SAVINGS FROM THE START)
This is the same 30/6 Instruction Program; however, for students requiring additional behind the wheel training this is a savings if you sign up for this program initially.

30-6 Instruction Certificate Program:

Thirty (30) hours of theoretical instruction in specific areas of traffic safety, including subject matter related to the rules and regulations of the road, safe driving practices, proper attitudes, pedestrian safety, and driver responsibility that meet the standards set by the DDS. Six (6) hours of behind the wheel experience in all aspects of safely operating a motor vehicle plus 3 more hours.

Certificate course fee - $515.00

30-6 Instruction Certificate Program:

Thirty (30) hours of theoretical instruction in specific areas of traffic safety, including subject matter related to the rules and regulations of the road, safe driving practices, proper attitudes, pedestrian safety, and driver responsibility that meet the standards set by the DDS. Six (6) hours of behind the wheel experience in all aspects of safely operating a motor vehicle plus 6 more hours.

Certificate course fee - $650.00

Note: NO SEPERATION OF CONTRACTS WILL BE ALLOWED ONCE CONTRACTS ARE SIGNED

Individual Driving Lessons:

$85 per 1 ½ hour day lesson

$100 per 1 ½ hour night lesson
